All right so this tutorial will cove the process of creating a new hosting package in Cpanel. This tutorial assumes that you have a hosting account with access to WHM (Web Host Manager). Typically any VPS or Reseller accounts will have access to WHM it just depends upon who you rent your server space from.
The first thing you will want to do is login to your Cpanel account, you can do this buy going to [www.yourdomainname.com/cpanel] From there you will want to follow the steps below:
1.) Click on the WHM link (in the advance section)
2.) Once logged into WHM scroll down the page and click on the “add packages” link under packages category.
3.) Create a name for your package (this is only used for your reference so pick a name that will help you remember what the package is used for)
4.) Fill in the desired account details. If you are unsure of these values here are some good defaults ones to start with. Quota=500MB, Bandwidth = 1000 MB, FTP accounts = 2, Email Accounts = 5, Mailing lists = 1, Databases = 2, Subdomains = 2 (these values can always be updated later, so do not worry about selecting the exact right choices editing them later is very easy)
5.) Select weather or not to give the account a dedicated IP, Shell Access, Frontpage and CGI access. If you are unsure about what you should put here good default values are NO dedicated IP, NO Shell Access, YES Frontpage and YES CGI access.
6.) Click the add button at the bottom and wait while the package is processed, when it is finished you should see a big green check mark with the words success, you can now apply this package when creating a new account in WHM and it will make the process a whole lot faster for you.
