Fixing Winmail.dat Files

We decided to do a small post on how to fix those annoying corrupted winmail.dat files that are sometimes attached to an email document someone sends you.   These typically happen when someone attempts to forward a message from someone else that has an attached file.  These files look like this when you download them to your computer:

All right so lets get to how to fix these annoying files.  So first you will want to download the file and then go to this website (www.winmaildat.com)

Once the site loads all you need to do its to click the “Browse” button and then navigate to the winmail.dat file stored on your computer.  Once you find and select your corrupt file all you need to do is click the “send file” link and then your file will be converted. You will then be provided with a download link to your new working file.
